There is always a lot going on in Denver on summer weekends, especially on the weekend of July 4th! This weekend in Denver, there may be a lack of large firework shows but there is no shortage of other fun to be had. Whether you want to drive out of town to see firework displays, take a First Friday Art Walk, or visit any outdoor festivals we have got a lot of recommendations on where to start off your fun weekend!
Fireworks in Denver have been put on pause due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the tight rules against large gatherings in stadiums or other similar venues, as well as drought warnings throughout many parts of Denver. However, there are still a handful of towns near Denver that are able to throw their fireworks show as planned! Cozy up in your car somewhere close or find a nearby park where you can admire the fireworks go off in the sky.
